Spontaneous Sunday Shuffle

So, I know all of us – both Music Mamas and our dear readers alike – are still getting comfortable around here.  Y’know, like cats in a basket. Circling, fluffing up the cushions just the way we like them, picking our spots and preparing to settle in and get cozy.  Since all of our blogs have different flows and posting schedules, we need to fall into the right rhythm here to see what “fits” for everyone.

I’ve been trying out some WordPress plugins for “editorial flow” (which in itself cracks me up, because it sounds WAY too professional for something I’m a part of – bwah!) so that we can all see who’s doing what and when…but I imagine that we’re still going to have multiple posts on some days and none on others. If we want things to grow organically, it almost has to be like that.

Even so…partly due to this lull of “settling” after our big launch party and partly due to my Mother in Law’s week-long visit (which began on the DAY of the launch party and just ended today), I personally feel like I need to play catch up around here.  I know we didn’t get to all the prizes last Monday night, and so I wanted to give some away here on the blog this past week…but haven’t.  I’m not sure I properly thanked everyone who supported our TMM Twitter party – both participants and donators of cool prizes – and that potential lapse in good manners horrifies the good Southern girl in me.  I had visions of writing and pre-scheduling posts so I’d be a week ahead of the game at all times…

*sigh* Yeah, right.

So, now that my company is gone and I’m sitting at my kitchen table with the urge to do little more than finish this yummy plate of nachos and then nap, I’ve decided to pop in and shuffle with you instead of “working” on the mechanics of this blog.

Because, seriously – what fun is working?  And on SUNDAY?

I’ve said all that to say “Hi, I’m Ri and I’m a notorious slacker.  Sometimes I fly by the seat of my pants, and often times I realize mid flight that they’re not even my pants…”  These are things that those of you who DON’T read my blog should probably know up front. (It will eliminate potential frustration due to dashed expectations, trust me.) Sometimes…when I’m just not sure what else to do next, like now?  I turn to my music collection and hit “shuffle”.  And, like some mysterious Swami who knows me better than I know myself, the music always gives me what I’m supposed to hear to make me feel comfortable.

So, while we’re still in the “getting to know each other” stage around here, I thought I’d share my Sunday Shuffle with you.  Tomorrow I’ll go back to planning, scheduling and writing with purpose…but this afternoon we’ll just kick back and listen to some tunes together.

Let’s see what my music library thinks we need today.  ;)

Thanks for sharing another interesting list of songs. Made me go and shuffle to see what would come up … a diverse listing that began and ended with pink floyd. Perhaps someday I’ll blog about it :)

As mentioned earlier the placement of the keywords is paramount towards the success of one’s article reaching its audience. Blacks did not have the human rights at no cost speech nor vote and a large amount of other laws that rejected their unalienable rights.
