Otis Redding, Santana, Billie Holiday, Fleetwood Mac, The Chieftains, Chicago (during the Terry Kath days)...I grew up with this stuff. I was raised at the knee of a musician who coaxed beauty and soul from no less than seven instruments by the time I could walk: my Da. He lived the life, playing session guitar for his classmate Dan fogelberg's Dad and once even sharing a grungy broken down South Chicago stage with the wraith of Chuck Berry.
